TMC Announces Partnership With Enterprise Communications Association
The Enterprise Communications Association (ECA) and Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC) announced plans to enter a strategic partnership in programs and events to grow the market for converged communications solutions.
According to ECA and TMC spokespeople, ECA will co-locate educational programs, as well as membership and/or leadership meetings, at TMC’s INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO shows and other industry events. The ECA and TMC will also collaborate on development of webinars, newsletters, and other vehicles for market education. The first co-located ECA seminar will take place at TMC’s upcoming INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO, February 11-13 in Miami, Florida.
“This is a strategic alliance for ECA, providing members with access to thought leadership and opportunities to network,” says Sally Stanton, ECA Events Committee Chairman and VP, Category Management for Ingram Micro.
“TMC’s INTERNET TELEPHONY conferences are premier events for educating industry and business/institutional users to the benefits derived from the integration of voice, data, fax and video. ECA’s Convergence Channels Education programs provide the roadmap for channels with voice or data roots to succeed in this new environment. Together, TMC and ECA address the full value chain,” said Expanets President and ECA Chairman Chris Younger.
“The partnership with TMC enables our young association to jump start the customary process of establishing venues and rhythms for programming. ECA will host events at both of TMC’s 2004 INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPOs, February in Miami and October in Long Beach, CA, as well as its Global Call Center Outsourcing Summit™ this coming May in St. Louis. The partnership enables both organizations to greatly enhance the value of services to our mutual members and clients,” added Mary Bradshaw, ECA Executive Director
Rich Tehrani, TMC president and conference chairman for INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO, recognizes the only way for converged solutions to gain real momentum, is through educational programs like those offered by the ECA.
“Recent major announcements of VoIP initiatives from companies like AT&T signal that converged communications are finally ready to compete head-to-head with traditional communications solutions. As that happens, educational programs like INTERNET TELEPHONY® Conference & EXPO, and those offered by the ECA, are invaluable to companies and organizations seeking to deploy converged networks,” explained Tehrani.
ECA, founded in August 2003, is dedicated to promoting the growth of markets and effective sales channels for converged voice, video and data communications solutions deployed in the enterprise. ECA founding members include manufacturers, network service providers, sales channel companies, software developers, consultants and others blending voice and data networks/solutions in innovative applications for business and institutional customers.
