MicroLogic Names Management Team; Seasoned Executives Charged With Growth of MicroLogic iSite Wireless Fleet Management System to Clients Worldwide

WESTBORO, Mass. --(Business Wire)-- June 21, 2004 -- MicroLogic, a leading provider of wireless fleet management systems today announced the appointments of Larry Cleary to President and Chief Operating Officer, Michael Fix to Executive Vice President of Business Development, and Sean Whalen to Vice President of Sales. Together with Steven Rothman, who continues to serve as Vice President of Engineering, the management team is charged with creating strategies to grow the MicroLogic iSite(R) business.

MicroLogic iSite is a comprehensive wireless fleet management system for the construction equipment industry. As the remote monitoring and anti-theft leader, MicroLogic is also the technology behind LoJack(R), the industry standard for stolen vehicle recovery systems.

Collectively, the entire MicroLogic management team brings a wealth of experience in product innovation, sales and marketing expertise, and engineering savvy. The seasoned team includes:

-- Sheldon Apsell, Chairman and CEO, is a successful entrepreneur with over 30 years experience bringing new technologies to market. Dr. Apsell was a co-founder of Kronos, now a publicly traded company. His other commercial successes include the development of the LoJack technology, the industry standard for stolen vehicle recovery systems. Dr. Apsell holds 14 patents and has brought to market some 50 consumer and industrial products. He is an MIT graduate with a Ph.D. in Physics from Brandeis University.

-- Larry Cleary, President and Chief Operating Officer, brings over 20 years of entrepreneurial experience leading emerging technology companies through rapid periods of growth and innovation. He has led one company through an IPO and two others through successful acquisitions. Prior to joining MicroLogic, Larry was CEO of Inceptor Inc. and held senior sales and marketing positions at New River Software, AimTech Corporation, and Layered Software. He has a B.S. in Business Administration and an M.B.A. from Anna Maria College.

-- Michael Fix, Executive Vice President of Business Development, brings a proven strategic partnership and revenue generation track record to MicroLogic. Michael's extensive background in developing products and partnerships with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software providers, particularly around integrating innovative data applications into ERP workflow environments is unique in the fleet management systems field. Over his 15 year career, Michael has held senior business development and general management roles in the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. A native of Denmark, Michael speaks five languages fluently and holds a degree from Niels Brock Business Academy, Copenhagen's leading business school.

-- Sean Whalen, Vice President of Sales, is the former National Accounts/OEM Director for the Commercial Division of LoJack Corporation. In this capacity, Sean was responsible for building the LoJack commercial division and nurturing the development of National Accounts relationships with United Rentals Inc., Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation, Home Depot Tool Rental Centers and Neff Corporation.

-- Steven Rothman, Vice President of Engineering, has been designing innovative technologies for over 30 years. He is responsible for all aspects of product design and development for the iSite system. Prior to joining MicroLogic, Mr. Rothman was Vice President of Research & Development at Kurzweil Applied Intelligence, and held senior engineering management positions at Augment Systems and Digital Equipment Corporation. He has a B.S. Electrical Engineering degree from MIT. He is an inventor of the highly successful VAX family of computers with 6 patents.
