DSS, Inc. and CMS, L.L.C. Announce End to End Solution for Federally Qualified Health Centers
BATON ROUGE, La. --(Business Wire)-- April 27, 2006 -- Louisiana eHealth Conference--Document Storage Systems, Inc. (DSS) and Complete Medical Solutions, L.L.C. (CMS) have agreed to develop and co-market a comprehensive information technology solution to Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC). DSS and CMS will provide a seamless interface between vxVistA, DSS' enhanced version of the VistA EHR, and CMS' WINMED Professional Business Management System.
"This is an ideal partnership for us," explained DSS President Mark Byers. "WINMED Professional has state of the art scheduling, reporting, analysis and patient billing packages, customized for FQHC operations that are perfect complements to our vxVistA EHR. This is a best of both worlds solution," he said, "and would look like one system to the users." Ferdinand Jefferson, President of CMS, echoed that sentiment: "We have combined a full featured back office system with the most comprehensive and widely used EHR solution available. Plus, clinics won't have to pay a premium for developing an interface between the best EHR and the best clinic business management system because it's already done."
The companies are focusing their marketing efforts on Federally Qualified Health Centers. This is because WINMED Professional provides the full suite of unique reports that a FQHC is required to produce and because DSS also offers Dental Record Manager Plus and Mental Health Treatment Planner which are integrated modules that meet the clinical documentation needs of many FQHCs.
