Pudding Media Closes $8 Million Series A Led by Opus Capital and BRM Capital

SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Pudding Media, the voice monetization company, today announced that it has secured Series A funding of $8 million led by Opus Capital and BRM Capital. The company will use this funding to expand its product suite of advertising solutions for voice monetization to cover all forms of voice services -- mobile carriers, VoIP operators and Web voice applications.

"We see an opportunity to improve profitability for all voice providers by using effective targeted advertising to monetize all forms of voice communication," said Ariel Maislos, Pudding Media CEO and co-founder. "Pudding Media addresses the major concerns of voice providers looking to add advertising revenue by providing turnkey advertising solutions."

In the coming year, Pudding Media will expand its contextual voice monetization platform to provide revenue solutions for all voice providers. "The voice communications market needs revenue options and the Pudding Media platform solves this broad monetization problem by offering solutions for every type of voice provider," said Eli Barkat, BRM Managing Partner.

"Pudding Media is leading a very important shift in communications, creating a new revenue stream for voice providers and giving customers a way to save money on calls," said Ken Elefant, general partner for Opus Capital. "By converging advertising and telecommunications, Pudding Media is establishing an entirely new market category. We're very excited to see where they will take it."

"We're proud to welcome Opus Capital and BRM as investors in Pudding Media," said Ruben Maislos, Pudding Media GM and co-founder. "Working together with our investors, we will continue to build on a world-class monetization platform that tackles the unique challenges of the global telecom market."

The Pudding Media platform brings targeted, relevant and timely advertising to voice services, and opens new advertising real estate that allows placement of multi-modal advertising for voice providers. By combining placement of voice, text and display ads with a unique contextual targeting engine, Pudding Media enables an effective transition in ad-supported calling plans by voice providers.
