MarkMonitor Names Paul Dagum as CTO

Feb 19, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- MarkMonitor, a provider of enterprise brand protection, has announced the appointment of Paul Dagum to its executive team.

As chief technology officer, Dagum will provide technical and scientific vision to MarkMonitor, bringing more than 20 years of experience in technical leadership and executive management.

"His extensive background and expertise will allow him to drive continued technical innovations to realize our vision of equipping brandholders to defend their brands from online fraud and brandjacking." Prior to joining MarkMonitor, Dagum served as chief scientist and strategy officer of, which was acquired by R.H. Donnelly. At, Dagum oversaw technology strategy, design and development. Before, Dagum was at Mohr Davidow Ventures where he evaluated high-impact business opportunities in Internet technology and medical devices. His previous experience includes co-founding and serving as chief science officer at Rapt, which was later acquired by Microsoft, as well as serving as a principal investigator at Stanford University on several National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health grants. He has held several senior scientist positions and has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed publications in statistics, computer science and biotechnology journals.
