SmarTrend(R) News Watch: Ken Lewis Says BofA Profitable In Beginning Of 2009

Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) chief executive Ken Lewis followed the drum beat of rivals Pandit and Dimon, CEOs of Citigroup (NYSE:C) and JP Morgan (NYSE:JPM), when he said in an interview that he expects the bank to see $50 billion in 2009 pre-tax revenue after having been profitable during the first two months of the year. He added that he doesn't "believe we will need more government capital."
