ViVOtech Teams up with DeviceFidelity to Instantly Enable Popular Smartphones into Contactless Payment and Loyalty Devices

Silicon Valley-based ViVOtech, the leader in Near Field Communication (NFC) mobile payments, loyalty and marketing applications and contactless NFC readers, and DeviceFidelity, the global leader in microSD based mobile contactless solutions, today announced a joint solution that brings contactless mobile payment, loyalty, transit, ticketing and coupon redemption capabilities to leading Smartphone models. Available to financial institutions and wireless carriers globally, the joint solution can be deployed on most leading smartphones, including multiple Blackberry models, iPhone (News - Alert) 3G, and iPhone 3Gs.

The joint solution allows ViVOtech's award-winning mobile wallet software, patented over-the-air (OTA) provisioning solution, and coupon issuance/redemption software to be deployed with DeviceFidelity's NFC-enabled In2Pay microSD and In2Pay Case for iPhone technology. This joint solution enables consumers to plug the In2Pay microSD into their smartphones, download multiple credit and/or debit cards securely to their handsets, and use their phones to perform contactless transactions at hundreds of thousands of merchants around the world. In addition, consumers can download merchants' loyalty, gift and prepaid cards and customize these cards to automatically redeem loyalty points and take advantage of discounts. Consumers can also request electronic coupons and discount offers, store them in their mobile wallets, and electronically redeem them at time of purchase.

The multiple patents pending In2Pay microSD with integrated NFC antenna, 1GB user memory and MiFare support has garnered global recognition and is being trialed by major banks and carriers worldwide. Through the collaboration between ViVOtech and DeviceFidelity, interested customers will now be able to obtin a turnkey solution comprising of NFC readers, OTA and wallet software and In2Pay NFC payment solution for smartphones.
