Axeda and GlobalSoft Integrate Connected Product Data with SAP CRM & ERP [Professional Services Close - Up]
(Professional Services Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Axeda Corp. and GlobalSoft Solutions are enabling SAP users to get more from their CRM solution by integrating connected product data with customers' core business systems and workflows.
According to a release, Axeda is a cloud-based service and software for managing connected products and delivering machine-to- machine (M2M) applications; GlobalSoft is an SAP Gold Certified partner -- bringing functional and technical expertise in SAP CRM, ERP, Analytics and Mobility and providing SAP customers a range of solutions in the customer facing applications area.
With a significant number of organizations looking to leverage crucial equipment/asset data to better service their customers, GlobalSoft has rolled out an integration kit that enables connected asset data from Axeda to interact with SAP CRM and ERP in a seamless manner.
"Enterprise systems such as ERP and CRM have struggled to evolve and become more nimble," said Michael Maoz, vice president and distinguished analyst, Gartner, Inc. "If they do, they have the opportunity to serve their customers beyond their original purpose. The more data that they are able to integrate with, analyze, and make useful, the more they become an indispensable 'system of record' for their customers."
By connecting real-time product data from the Axeda Platform to SAP, information such as asset owner, location, product configuration, health status, usage, inventory levels and alerts automatically populates in the SAP CRM Contact Center. This data can automatically trigger business process workflows such as automated service ticket/case creation, pay-per-use billing, warranty management, replenishment of consumables, compliance management, product recalls, planned maintenance and more.
"In close collaboration with SAP and Axeda, GlobalSoft Solutions is excited to offer an integration solution for various use case scenarios that can be leveraged by SAP customers who are running ERP or CRM or BI or SCM. Organizations looking to integrate SAP with Axeda could immediately leverage this easy-to-deploy solution kit," said Santosh Menon, President, GlobalSoft Solutions. "The solution is configurable, scalable and easy to maintain -- helping organizations achieve integration across various use cases in a matter of days, and creating additional value for clients who have invested in SAP and Axeda."
From Consume to Cash (C2), to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Supply Chain Management (SCM), High-Performance Analytic Appliance (HANA) and SAP's business analytics capabilities, enterprise-wide business processes can be optimized with connected product data.
"We see a major trend emerging to integrate connected product data with enterprise business systems," said Keith Bartlett, vice president of business development, Axeda. "This is a continuation of our strategy to enable our customers' competitiveness through connectivity and collaboration. In particular, M2M data increases the value of SAP CRM and ERP systems for many of our large enterprise customers. From campaign management, to customer service and support, to inventory management and business analytics, detailed operational product data can help optimize nearly every facet of their business."
The Axeda platform accelerates integration with third-party enterprise systems due to its open architecture built on standards- based technology and built-in Web Services for two-way communications. It is qualified to handle the complex requirements for M2M solutions, such as managing multiple types of connections and assets, processing massive amounts of unstructured data, and providing enterprise grade scalability and security.
Axeda provides cloud-based service and software for managing connected products and implementing M2M application -- connecting and remotely servicing the products of the world's companies.
