Vidyo Introduces Breakthrough Business Model for Enterprise Customers Purchasing Telepresence-Quality Video Conferencing as a Service
ORLANDO, Fla. --(Business Wire)--
Enterprise Connect - Vidyo (News - Alert), Inc., the first company to deliver
personal telepresence, today announced an industry-revolutionizing
approach to address the needs of enterprise customers deploying video
communications and collaboration as a service. With the white label
program, enterprise users benefit from simplified pricing for
multi-point, telepresence-quality videoconferencing services that allow
subscribers to conference with anyone with a mobile device, PC, Vidyo
room system, or even a legacy end-point system, since Vidyo
interoperates seamlessly with legacy systems.
With its White Label Service Provider Program, Vidyo is also creating an
entirely new community of partners called Vidyo Virtual Network
Operators (VVNO) that can offer Vidyo's award-winning videoconferencing
solutions as a service. VVNOs are "infrastructure-less"
videoconferencing service partners that can co-brand and sell Vidyo
solutions as carrier-grade HD videoconferencing services to enterprises.
Vidyo's white label program will allow carriers, telecommunication
services providers, application services providers, distributors or
value-added resellers to easily and quickly enter the video conferencing
market without requiring up-front videoconferencing infrastructure
investments.
"The videoconferencing industry has been stymied by hardware-based
deployment and pricing models for too long; the White Label Program
addresses enterprise demand for hosted videoconferencing solutions with
a simplified pricing model that enterprises have become accustomed to
with audio or web conferencing," said Ashish Gupta (News - Alert), Vidyo's CMO and SVP
of Corporate Development. "Vidyo's white label service, offered by our
global partners, will give service providers the opportunity to enter
the rapidly growing videoconferencing market without requiring them to
deploy infrastructure."
Benefits of Vidyo's White Label Program
The White Label Program significantly expands the ways enterprises can
purchase VidyoConferencing
by enabling Vidyo Virtual Network Operators (VVNOs) to deliver HD
multipoint video conferencing services with a simplified pricing model
to enterprise customers; starting at a MSRP of $30 per named user per
month and a MSRP of $0.2 per minute for each legacy-based guest joining
the conference. Using the white label service offered by Vidyo's
partners, VVNOs can rapidly enter the fast-growing video conferencing
market without needing to deploy infrastructure while increasing their
average revenue per user (ARPU) by complementing their portfolio of
enterprise services with high quality VidyoConferencing. The program is
built on Vidyo's unique software architecture that enables service
providers to offer high-quality video conferencing for mobile, desktop
and room system end-points at substantially reduced costs than legacy
solutions. Additionally, Vidyo's solution interoperates seamlessly with
existing legacy infrastructure investments, enabling unlimited
collaboration between registered subscribers and up to five invited
guests. This completely removes the need for any enterprise to buy
legacy MCUs.
The Vidyo Difference
The Vidyo communication and collaboration platform is software-based,
highly flexible and can be easily customized for individual enterprise
and vertical market video conferencing needs. The patented VidyoRouter™
architecture introduces Adaptive
Video Layering™, which dynamically optimizes the video for each
endpoint leveraging H.264 Scalable Video Coding (SVC)-based compression
technology and Vidyo's IP. Adaptive Video Layering eliminates the MCU
and offers unprecedented error resiliency, low latency rate matching
thus enabling natural, affordable, high-quality video to work over the
Internet, LTE (News - Alert) and 4G networks. The platform allows users to quickly
leverage the latest hardware innovations and new consumer devices,
making it uniquely attractive to partners. Vidyo has been active driving
H.264 SVC and SIP videoconferencing interoperability in various
standards bodies since 2005.
Vidyo today also announced the VidyoRouter™
Virtual Edition (VE), its next leap forward in
massively-scalable, high-quality video conferencing. VidyoRouter VE is
the first and only available solution that virtualizes the media plane
in a scalable manner, delivering multipoint video conferencing in
virtual computing environments at audio conferencing price points which
will have a significant impact on reducing the costs of delivery for
White label providers.
