webHOSTING.net to Use Nimble Storage Arrays in Hosted-Services Platform for Infrastructure, Virtual Desktops, and Disaster Recovery

storage solutions, today announced that webHOSTING.net, a Nimble
partner, will use Nimble CS-Series arrays to deliver hosted,
performance-guaranteed services for networking infrastructure,
virtual desktops, and disaster recovery. webHOSTING.net offers
unmatched price-performance for customers of its services, thanks to
the Nimble arrays, which use a patented technology called Cache
Accelerated Sequential Layout (CASL(TM)) to achieve superior
performance at low cost through the innovative use of solid-state
(flash) and high-capacity drives. webHOSTING.net offers services
through a carrier-class collocation facility that ensures efficient
delivery of low-cost hosted services. The new offerings will augment
webHOSTING.net's current managed-bandwidth services, as well as
application-specific services such as Hosted Exchange and Hosted
Sharepoint.
The new service offerings include:
Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). webHOSTING.net offers server and
storage resources to host customers' virtualized infrastructure, as
well as applications such as Exchange and SQL, on Nimble arrays.
Desktop as a Service (DaaS). webHOSTING.net provides hosted VDI, with
multiple virtual desktops consolidated on a Nimble array. Thus,
customers who do not want to make dedicated infrastructure
investments in VDI can still reap its benefits.
Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS). webHOSTING.net replicates
data from customers' current primary storage devices or on-premise
Nimble arrays to Nimble arrays hosted offsite for disaster recovery.
This architecture dramatically reduces customers' cost of
implementing disaster recovery.
webHOSTING.net selected Nimble arrays because they deliver
SSD-accelerated performance without the accompanying high costs.
Nimble's always-on compression helps the service provider derive
maximum utilization from the array.
Data protection is built into each Nimble-based system configuration,
enhancing the delivery of disaster recovery and backup-and-restore

command console simplifies webHOSTING.net's day-to-day management in
delivering these services.
