BEIJING, Apr 06, 2012 (Xinhua via COMTEX) --
China's revenues from the software and
information technology service industry is expected to exceed 4
trillion yuan by 2015 with an annual growth rate of over 24.5
percent, according to the development plan for the software and
information technology service industry in the 12th Five-Year Plan
period (2011-2015) released by the country's Ministry of Industry and
Information Technology (MIIT) on Friday.
According to the plan, the weight of the software and information
technology service industry will increase to 25 percent of the
information technology industry and revenues from software exports
will reach 60 billion yuan by 2015.
The plan also stresses the importance of the R&D and encourages
domestic software companies to develop products with their own
intellectual property rights.
China will preliminarily establish a secure and safe promotion
system for software applications and improve the maturity,
reliability, and safety of basic software, such as operating systems,
data bases, middleware, and office systems.
Meanwhile, in order to improve the concentration of the industry,
two or three industry clusters will be formed and their industrial
revenues each will exceed 500 billion yuan by 2015, says the plan.
