Poynt Corp. ("Poynt Corp." or the "Company") announced that since October 2011, timesPoynt, the India-specific mobile local search application offered by Poynt Corp. and TimesCity.com (Times Internet Limited) has seen 900 percent growth in mobile search users over the past six months.
According to a release on April 4, in addition, timesPoynt has seen over 300 percent growth in average daily users since marketing efforts began in late February.
The growing popularity of timesPoynt demonstrates how the mobile search app is successfully addressing the country's increasing demand for mobile information and engagement.
To discuss the growth of market opportunities for location-based search (LBS) in India, Poynt Corp. and the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) will co-host a free webinar, entitled "Smartphone Growth and the Adoption of LBS in India" on April 10 (11pm EDT) / April 11 (11am SGT).
