Silver Peak Helps EMC Isilon Customers Replicate Big Data 90x Faster Over the WAN

Silver Peak Systems, the leader in data center class wide area
network (WAN) optimization, today announced that its WAN optimization
appliances have been tested and qualified with the EMC(R) Isilon
network attached storage (NAS) and SyncIQ replication products. The
two companies have benchmarked performance gains of up to 90x for
SyncIQ replication throughput and 99% bandwidth reduction across some
WAN environments. Enterprise customers benefit from accelerated "big
data" replication without the need to increase the WAN infrastructure
investment.

quality. By combining the Silver Peak advanced network optimization
techniques with EMC Isilon scale-out NAS, remote users can access
centralized files faster and more reliably than ever before, which
maximizes employee productivity. With Silver Peak, EMC Isilon SyncIQ
customers can replicate 90-times more data over WAN connections
shared by other EMC and non-EMC applications. This ensures recovery
point objectives (RPO) are met, and minimizes disaster recovery costs
by obviating the need for dedicated storage networks.

replication products, including Isilon SyncIQ, SRDF/A, RecoverPoint,
