Pendrell Names Mario Obeidat as Vice President of Patent Licensing

Pendrell Corp announced that Mario Obeidat has been appointed vice president of licensing for Pendrell Technologies.
In a release, the Company noted that Obeidat was most recently the head of telecommunications licensing at Intellectual Ventures, and prior to that, he served as chief licensing strategist for InterDigital.
"Mario is an outstanding addition to the Pendrell licensing team," commented Ben Wolff, chief executive officer of Pendrell. "He has a proven track record, having led some of the most significant patent licensing transactions in recent years. Mario joins us at a time that our portfolio has grown to more than 1,500 patents covering digital rights management technologies invented by ContentGuard, 3G and 4G wireless, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, mobile operating systems, e-commerce, security and other technologies. He will play a key role in accelerating and expanding our licensing programs."
