ZTE Canceled Device Order by Iran TCI
SHENZHEN, Apr 12, 2012 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) --
ZTE Corporation announced on April 11 that it will limit existing cooperation projects in Iran and stop expanding new clients because it founded the contract involves some products prohibited by the US.
ZTE signed a devices supply contract with TCI, including some devices of the US, worth EUR 8 million in total and signed on June 30, 2011.
According to the checklist, the devices to be shipped from China to Iran include servers of IBM, switches produced by Cisco and Brocade Communications Systems, database software of Oracle and EMC, backup and antivirus software of Symantec and firewalls of Juniper Networks, all of which will be used for business support services.
