AmeriCall Adopts Greener Virtual Server Technology
Apr 13, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) --
AmeriCall, a company involved in cloud and virtualization technology, is now using virtual servers in its continuing effort to be environmentally friendly.
According to a release, the provider of live answering service and call center outsourcing is further reducing its carbon footprint by introducing the use of multiple servers on a single machine into its workplace and work force.
AmeriCall previously created its own private cloud to solve a number of technological challenges and to encourage employees to use less consumable energy. This virtual capability allows AmeriCall employees to access their desktops, applications and documents by providing anytime, anywhere access through a secure and private cloud. The company has taken this technology one step further with the adaptation of virtual server technology to its network.
"We are now in the process of virtualizing our servers, which allows us to run multiple servers on a single machine," said Scott Hager, general manager of AmeriCall. "Not only will this allow us to further reduce energy use and waste, it provides greater reliability than traditional technology."
