LAS VEGAS --(Business Wire)--

Brain Farm Digital Cinema (Brain Farm), a premier turn-key production house that captures and produces high-end film, TV, digital and commercial content, worked with the General Dynamics (News - Alert) Global Imaging Technologies engineering team to develop the new Cineflex ELITE. Brain Farm, which is well known for their aerial and ground based stabilized cinematography, will showcase the Cineflex ELITE's unique capabilities by displaying footage shot with the new system at this year's NAB Show in Las Vegas.

Brain Farm's founder and CEO Curt Morgan consulted on the development of the Cineflex ELITE, to build on the success of Cineflex V-14, which Brain Farm used to capture unique, sharp ultra HD shots for projects as diverse as their acclaimed snowboarding documentary The Art of FLIGHT and commercial shoots for companies including Subaru and Visa Blackcard. The Cineflex ELITE is intended to become the industry standard for the most demanding directors, producers and DPs.

"We are proud to have been a part of the creation of the Cineflex ELITE as the new system will take digital cinematography to the next level. This new system will inevitably be a major game changer in the world of digital cinema prodution," said Morgan. "We are currently testing the boundaries of use on various projects from mounting and controlling the system wirelessly on everything from a jet ski to an unmanned helicopter and we are extremely excited for its release to market."

Key features and advancements in the new Cineflex ELITE system include:

  • Ultra compactness and ease of use
  • Ability to work in a broad range of light conditions
  • Upgraded to the Arri Alexa M Camera System
  • Integrated PL Canon (News - Alert) FK30-300mm telephoto cine zoom lens and FK14.5-60mm wide-angle cine zoom lens
  • Modular design for future upgrades and integrations
  • Wireless control option

Brain Farm is planning on having multiple in-house systems for supporting use in their media properties as well as providing the industry a turn-key aerial service.

The Cineflex ELITE and footage captured with the Cineflex ELITE will be showcased at Cineflex booth # C12719 in Central Hall.

This announcement comes on the heels of Brain Farm's recent work with SnapRoll Media and Schiebel, to successfully fly the first rotary UAS (Unmanned Air System) ever featuring a Cineflex® camera system mounted on the CAMCOPTER® S-100, which will also be introduced at this year's NAB Show (Broadcast Microwave Services, Inc. booth #C9545, Central Hall).
