Lieberman Software's Enterprise Random Password Manager Now Supports SQL Server 2012
LOS ANGELES --(Business Wire)--
Lieberman
Software Corporation announced today that its flagship privileged
identity management solution, Enterprise Random Password Manager™
(ERPM), now supports SQL Server 2012. ERPM adds SQL Server 2012 support
to the industry's most complete privileged
identity management solution - covering all major operating systems,
databases, business applications, network appliances and more.
ERPM now automatically discovers SQL 2012 accounts in the database, and
updates and propagates the credentials for these accounts everywhere
they are used in the data center. It also provides the option to utilize
SQL Server 2012 as a secure back-end for the encrypted storage of
privileged passwords, with the ability to release these passwords to
delegated users on emand.
Without ERPM, these credentials typically remain unmanaged and can
potentially lead to breaches of sensitive business data and violations
of regulatory compliance requirements.
Joint customers can leverage their existing deployments of SQL Server as
the ERPM account store, or safely migrate to SQL Server 2012 in the
future to receive the same capabilities.
"Our security-conscious customers understand the necessity of enforcing
access control measures to protect their sensitive data," said Chris
Stoneff, director of professional services at Lieberman Software.
"Customers who deploy ERPM and perform privileged account discovery are
often amazed by what they find. For organizations that want to learn
where SQL Server accounts are being used within their enterprises, ERPM
can provide this information on demand while ensuring that these
accounts are properly tracked and secured."
In addition to its SQL Server support, ERPM detects and secures
privileged accounts present throughout the Microsoft (News - Alert) ecosystem,
including operating systems, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft
ASP.NET, and Microsoft SharePoint.
Lieberman Software is exhibiting this functionality in booth 509 at
Microsoft Management Summit in Las Vegas this week.
