Telco bill fix in peril
Apr 18, 2012 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) --
Australian Communications & Media Authority (ACMA) chairman Chris Chapman has hinted that a plan by telcos to protect telephone and internet users against massive bills will be rejected by the regulator. ACMA is still concerned that some telcos' ads are misleading, contracts lack clear information and there are not enough monitoring tools for customers to track usage. Industry body Communications Alliance will submit the proposed draft code to ACMA.
