SAN FRANCISCO --(Business Wire)--
Lemonade Day, a free, national program dedicated to teaching children
how to start, own and operate their own business through the simple and
time-honored act of building and running a lemonade stand, has announced
an experience™ application for the new Dynamics ePlate™ device. Now,

At any time, a user can select to use the Lemonade Day experience™
application for the ePlate™ payment device. A number of donating options
are available under the Lemonade Day experience™ application. For
example, a user can donate a portion of each purchase toward an
educational kit for a single child. Or, a user can donate with others to
earn an educational program for a community of children. Every time a
user makes a purchase they can elect to make a donation, either by
adding $1 to the purchase total, or rounding up to the nearest dollar.
"With any donation to Lemonade Day, someone can make a difference and
support the hands-on teaching of critical entrepreneurial skills to
children across America," said Michael Holthouse, Founder of Lemonade
Day. "With Dynamics' ePlate device, patrons can be proud to help educate
America's youth every day through their traditional purchases."
"Dynamics is proud to support the education of America's youth by giving
Lemonade Day the ability to collect donations with everyday purchases,"
stated Jeff Mullen, Dynamics CEO. "Lemonade Day is serving as a role
model to young entrepreneurs with its ground-breaking experience™
application that allows patrons to change their donation preferences at
About the Dynamics ePlate™ Paymen Device
Dynamics' ePlate™ payment device is a paper-thin, flexible computing
platform in a payment card format. The device includes the Electronic
Stripe® -- the world's first fully card-programmable magnetic stripe.
The Electronic Stripe® can be read at any existing point-of-sale (POS)
magnetic stripe reader. The device includes two buttons - one for a
first experience and one for a second experience. Based on which
experience option was selected, the device changes the information on
the Electronic Stripe™ to reflect the selected experience so the user
can swipe the card in any store and enjoy the selected experience.
A user can change the experiences associated with the buttons on the
ePlate™ device at any time. All a user has to do is use the Dynamics
Experience Manager™ software through their favorite phone or accessible
through their online banking account. The Experience Manager™ provides
an ecosystem of experiences that can be assigned to the buttons on a
user's ePlate™ device.
The ePlate™ device is as durable as a traditional payment card and will
last over three years on a single battery charge. The technology does
not require any change to the 60 million 1970s-era magnetic stripe
readers or reeducation of its merchant base.

About Lemonade Day
Lemonade Day, created by Prepared
4 Life, a Texas 501C3 organization, is a fun and experiential
learning program where communities across the nation unite to teach
youth how to start, own and operate their own business through a
lemonade stand. There are two distinct components of Lemonade Day.
First, there is a month-long learning experience through which a child
and a caring adult exercise a step-by-step process of starting a
business. This month-long process has proven to have a dramatic impact
on a child's understanding of how to be an entrepreneur in any industry.
The second component is the actual implementation of the business, which
takes place on Lemonade Day, held annually on the first Sunday in May.
Literally, thousands of children open their stand for business with
support from their community. In the six years since Lemonade Day's
inception, the program has grown in Houston from 2,700 to 54,000 youth
participating and has attracted attention from city leaders across the
nation. In 2011, over 65,000 kids in 30 other U.S. cities also
experienced Lemonade Day.
