Apr 19, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) --
Tridium, a provider of open platforms, application software frameworks, automation infrastructure technology, energy management and device-to-enterprise integration solutions, announced that its flagship software platform the Niagara Framework surpassed 300,000 deployment instances.
In a release, the company noted that the Niagara Framework resolves the challenges associated with open systems, integration and interoperability by integrating diverse systems and devices - regardless of manufacturer, or communication protocol - into a unified platform that is managed and controlled over the Internet.
Deployed in 52 countries and utilized in a variety of applications including Commercial Buildings, Security, Industrial, Energy, Telecom and M2M, Niagara has fundamentally changed the way devices and systems connect, integrate and interoperate with each other and the enterprise.
Since 2010, Niagara has seen exponential global growth, with an increase of over 150,000 deployments.
"Reaching this milestone reaffirms Niagara's position as the leading universal software platform for increasing the functionality and value of smart devices, and systems," said Marc Petock, Tridium's vice president, global marketing and communications. "We'd like to thank the Niagara Community of manufacturers, system integrators, developers, consultants and end-users for being important partners in helping us achieve this historic milestone."
The company is an independent business entity of Honeywell International Inc.
