The Avengers and the Hunger Games Come to Television First on Epix
NEW YORK --(Business Wire)--
EPIX, the multiplatform premium entertainment service, is proud to
announce the addition of two of 2012's premier box office hits, Marvel
Studio's and Paramount's The Avengers and Lionsgate's The
Hunger Games to its growing library of great films. Both films
allow EPIX to continue its exclusive offering of "BIG MOVIES" to
subscribers On Demand, online at EpixHD.com, and through EPIX apps.
The Avengers had a stand out opening weekend grossing $200.3
million domestically and is on track for a strong performance globally. The
Hunger Games has earned a colossal $618.0 million around the world
since its late-March premiere. It has grossed more than $380.0 million
at the North American box office and is currently ranked 14th
among the all time highest grossing films.
