Socket Mobile partners with LightSpeed Retail

Jul 11, 2012 (Datamonitor Financial Deals Tracker via COMTEX) -- Socket Mobile, Inc., a provider of mobile productivity solutions, has partnered with LightSpeed Retail, Inc., a developer of point of sale (POS) system solutions to retail and web stores, to combine personalized selling with inventory scanning, wireless payments and intuitive retail tools for Mac OS(R) and iOS. Both the partners are based in the US.


Under the transaction, Socket Bluetooth(R) Cordless Hand Scanner(TM) (CHS) Series 7 barcode scanners will combine with the LightSpeed for iPad application to create mobile, interactive sales tool for retailers to quickly scan items to check inventory, show more detail, and complete point-of-sale transactions without ever leaving the customers' side.
