for International Development (USAID) to lead the agency's Partnership
to Advance Clean Energy (News - Alert) Deployment (PACE-D) technical assistance project

"Nexant is pleased to support USAID's clean energy initiative in India,"
said Basem Sarandah, Nexant CEO. "Our own growing presence in the region
underscores our commitment to providing critically needed clean energy

making a significant contribution toward that goal under the PACE-D
program."
"We will pursue a consultative approach to building stakeholder
capacity, engaging the private sector, and establishing an enabling
ecosystem to scale up clean energy deployment in India," said Dick
Edwards, Nexant Vice President and PACE-D Officer-in-Charge. "We also
plan to work closely with USAID to coordinate additional U.S. government
