Humana and HumanaVitality Announce Winners of First Annual Illinois' Healthiest Employers Awards

Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM), a leading health and well-being company, and HumanaVitality®, a comprehensive wellness and loyalty solution, congratulate winners of the first annual Illinois' Healthiest Employer awards, which honor organizations that have a proven commitment to workplace wellness. In partnership with Crain's Custom Media, winners received recognition during a special luncheon hosted earlier this week at the Westin River North in Chicago.

As part of the program, Healthiest Employer LLC independently reviewed applications from nearly 110 organizations, later selecting five winning companies in Illinois ranging in size from five to 5,000+ employees. Each of the winners demonstrates innovation and leadership within employee wellness programs:

• Ottawa Dental Laboratory (5 - 99 full time employees)
• Centro Media Inc. (100 - 499 full time employees)
• Duke Realty (500 - 1,499 full time employees)
• Cancer Treatment Centers of America (1,500 - 4,999 full time employees)
• Navistar, Inc. (5,000+ full time employees)

Applicants answered questions online about their company wellness programs and submissions were evaluated in six key categories:

• Programming and Interventions
• Reporting and Analysis

All submissions for the award are reviewed independently by Healthiest Employer LLC, a company dedicated to measuring wellness programming among today's employers. The online assessment form was developed by representatives from the wellness, medical, higher education, research, not-for-profit and government communities.
