Access to offer e-book platform to Indonesia's biggest telecom carrier
(Japan Economic Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) TOKYO, Nov. 10 -- (Kyodo) _ Access Co., a Japanese information technology company, said Friday it will has developed an online publishing platform for PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Indonesia's biggest telecommunications carrier, for its Qbaca e-book service for smartphones and tablet PCs.
The Qbaca service was made available the same day for Android devices and will offer content for Apple Inc.'s iOS products such as the iPhone later this year, the Japanese company said.
The platform, based on the Access Digital Publishing Ecosystem, conforms to the latest EPUB 3 international standard, making Qbaca the first e-book store in Indonesia to adopt the electronic publishing technology increasingly used worldwide, according to the Japanese company.
