TMCNet: Warns of Volatile Oil and Gas Home Heating Prices

[November 12, 2012] Warns of Volatile Oil and Gas Home Heating Prices

New York, NY, Nov 12, 2012 ( via COMTEX) --, an online distributor of electric floor heating products, has issued a statement today stating that that costs of residential home heating with natural gas or oil is likely to increase during the home heating season, urging home owners, that are planning new construction or renovation projects, to switch to electric floor heating, which as its name suggests, uses electricity to produce heat.

In the statement, company representative states that "today's already high prices on fossil fuels and natural gas might further increase due to high volatility in the market and lack of stability in the international market." It goes on to say that "such conflicts are likely to put a serious strain on oil supply, thus leading to skyrocketing prices and effecting not only drivers, but also home owners in the US." is offering electric radiant floor heating as a viable alternative to using oil or natural gas for residential heating applications. According to the company's representative statement, coal and nuclear energy (the source of most electricity in the US) as well as renewable energy sources (wind and solar), are much more stable comparing to natural gas and oil and therefore are more likely to remain stable over the course of the next few years.

Electrical floor heating technology utilizes a specially designed heating cable which irradiates heat when powered and transfers the energy to the flooring above it. Unlike water-source (hydronic) heating systems, electrical systems do not require pipes and radiators, and unlike forced air furnaces, electric floor heating does not blow warm air through your home constantly keeping dust particles suspended in the air. Instead, electric floor heating systems create comfort with no noise or expensive and often highly-specialized components. Experts estimate that this innovative technology saves 40% of the energy used by other home heating systems and hence enables greater savings.

About offers floor heating mats, cables, thermostats and other installation accessories for single-room (bathrooms, kitchens, showers, etc.) or whole-house heating.
