Nlyte Integrates Intel Data Center Manager (DCM) Technology and Introduces Nlyte DCM Integrator Module
MENLO PARK, Calif. & LONDON --(Business Wire)--
Nlyte
Software, the industry leader in data center infrastructure
management (DCIM),
today announced the introduction of its latest real-time monitoring
solution based upon the Intel (News - Alert)® Data Center Manager (DCM) SDK. Intel DCM,
now licensed by Nlyte, provides accurate, real time power and thermal
monitoring and management for individual servers, group of servers,
racks and IT power equipment such as PDUs in the data centers. With this
release, the Nlyte
DCM Integrator module brings a huge library of specific native
device support, for rapid deployments and is available for purchase as
an option for Nlyte's DCIM Suite.
The Nlyte DCM (News - Alert) Integrator addresses the need for energy and power
monitoring and control across a wide range of active IT and facilities
devices using protocols such as IPMI and SNMP. Intel's ongoing DCM
development is rapidly expanding its library to include more data center
devices with every release. By licensing the Intel DCM evelopment, the
Nlyte DCIM suite extends its support for a large number of devices via
the DCM Integrator module.
"Nlyte's DCIM offering has been adopted by customers for years based
upon its rich user experience, solid business value, and unparalleled
ability to integrate with any type of external management system," said
Mark Harris, vice president of marketing and data center strategy.
"Nlyte has always provided a robust real-time monitoring module which
could be configured to gather metrics from any device. By including
Intel's DCM technology, much of the setup and configuration for hundreds
of devices are already pre-built and available out-of-the-box. Our new
DCM Integrator speeds the deployment of real-time monitoring for Nlyte's
customers creating even more value for them."
"By integrating Intel Data Center Manager, Nlyte is addressing the
growing problem of power over-provisioning in the data center by
enhancing its DCIM solution with Intel's unique ability to deliver
real-time power and thermal monitoring at the server-level," said Jeff
Klaus, director of Data Center Solutions, Intel Corporation. "Nlyte is
at the forefront in providing its customers with the tools they need to
operate their data centers at optimal efficiency."
DatacenterDynamics Converged Conference
