Fresh & Easy Kicks Off Annual Holiday Food Drive

Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market today launched their third annual Holiday Food Drive to help fight hunger this holiday season. Now through December 31st, all Fresh & Easy stores will be collecting non-perishable food donations in specially designated boxes to benefit food banks in Arizona, California and Nevada. With the help of its customers, Fresh & Easy donated more than $2,000,000 worth of food last holiday season, and aims to donate even more this year.

"Los Angeles Regional Food Bank feeds one million people annually and of that, 400,000 are children - so donations are crucial," said Carol Tremblay, Los Angeles Regional Food Bank Chief Development Officer. "We are extremely grateful to Fresh & Easy for their support, especially during the holiday time when we want to provide Thanksgiving meals to our families."

"Giving to food banks is a great way for companies to give back through the holiday season and all year long," said Erica Thompson, Three Square Food Bank Director of Corporate Giving. "I think it's great for a company to come together to organize and implement a food drive, and we are thrilled to have the support of Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market."

A few of Fresh & Easy's local food bank partners include: Three Square Food Bank in Nevada, St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance in Arizona, Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and several regional Second Harvest/Feeding America Food Bank locations throughout California.
