Market Maker Surveillance Report. T, USU, HBAN, ALU, SLIO, TEA, Highest Net Sell Volume and Negative Price Friction For Thursday, November 15th 2012

Nov 16, 2012 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 4113 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1767 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3699 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Thursday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. AT&T Inc (NYSE:T), USEC Inc (NYSE:USU), HUNTINGTON BANCSHARES INCORPORATED (NASDAQ:HBAN), Alcatel Lucent SA (NYSE:ALU), Solo International Inc (OTC:SLIO), Tearlach Resources Ltd (NYSE:TEA). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below: Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction T $-0.380 -1.12% 6,735,069 25.92% 9,363,568 36.04% -2,628,499 -69,171 USU $-0.030 -5.82% 506,803 12.70% 3,185,174 79.79% -2,678,371 -892,790 HBAN $-0.050 -0.82% 7,779,214 45.68% 9,225,955 54.18% -1,446,741 -289,348 ALU $-0.050 -4.63% 7,009,958 29.55% 8,834,922 37.25% -1,824,964 -364,993 SLIO $-0.060 -59.41% 10,909,083 42.38% 14,279,448 55.48% -3,370,365 -561,728 TEA $-0.020 -0.13% 1,584,965 24.11% 3,253,934 49.50% -1,668,969 -834,485 Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows T down $-0.38000 with a Friction Factor of -69,171 and a Net Volume of -2,628,499. That means that it takes 69,171 more shares of selling than buying to drop T by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
