8 to Infinity Announces Completion of Infrastructure Project

Singapore, Nov 26, 2012 ( via COMTEX) -- 8 to Infinity, a longtime Singapore Internet hosting company newly acquired by XBT Holdings Ltd., announced the completion of its recent data center infrastructure project, a direct result of substantial financial and human resources support from its new parent company. The enhanced infrastructure is expected to lead to extensive growth of 8 to Infinity operations in the region and further diversification of its service portfolio.

XBT Holding's technical engineers deployed the completely new network, which is connected to Equinix, a major area carrier hotel. Engineers used additional resources to establish reliable connectivity to China. The changes led to a network quality increase and provided international connectivity for Singapore customers.

Konstantin Bezruchenko, chief technical officer at XBT Holding Ltd., said, "The new network, including brand new equipment, brought 8 to Infinity customers immediate results. Capacity has already reached 12 Gbps, and we plan to double that in the first quarter of 2013." According to Priyadarshi Mishra, recently appointed sales director at 8 to Infinity, the new infrastructure makes it possible for the firm to offer both existing and potential new customers enhanced service in three areas: higher performance, global services and increased capacity. "These service developments are a great advantage for our customers. And all of it entails no additional costs for end-users," Mishra said.

XBT Holiding Ltd. supported the infrastructure changes for 8 to Infinity throughout the process, which was launched in the second quarter of 2012. The project was supported by a strategic long-term contract with Dell. Through the contract, 8 to Infinity provides a wide range of high-quality in-stock Dell server models, including Dell R210, Dell R410 and Dell R510.

"From now on, we will always have equipment in stock. Within one day, we can provide any reasonable quantity of servers required by customers to scale up their operations," explained 8 to Infinity director of operations, Siarhei Karatkevich.

In addition to the servers, 8 to Infinity customers benefit from XBT's long-term contracts with a large number of Tier 1 networks. This assures a more seamless experience, with low latency and an opportunity for rapid provisioning of additional data center and network connectivity, all important considerations when a customer faces changing business requirements.

XBT also plans to expand the 8 to Infinity technical support team, providing certified live 24/7 ticket support in both English and Chinese. "We see Singapore as a strategic hub for our ongoing development plans with the Asia Pacific region, due to its stable political and economic situation. This and 8 to Infinity's role as one of the oldest players in this market provide a solid base for the Holding's regional strategic expansion," commented Rajesh Kumar Mishra, chief financial officer of XBT Holding Ltd. "This is why we are going to continue providing all kinds of support to our local subsidiary." 8 to Infinity's rapid development was a condition of the acquisition agreement with XBT, and was one of the reasons founder and managing director Lim Boon Chuan chose XBT to become a strategic partner in 2012.

Chuan said 8 to Infinity had grown to a size that required more technical abilities and financial backing to reach a new level of sophistication in its services. "In XBT, we saw a strategic business partner who would be able to provide not only resources, but more importantly international expertise to help us implement our ambitious plans," he said. "Now that we are part of a respected global company, and a very experienced new team is on board, I have decided to dedicate my time to other projects and then retire. I do this with full confidence in the future success of 8 to Infinity." Chuan will serve as a consultant for 8 to Infinity, providing ongoing expertise to help the company move securely into the future.
