Market Maker Surveillance Report. KO, MO, T, VZ, INTC, ZNGA, Bearishly Biased Price Friction For Monday, December 10th 2012

Dec 11, 2012 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 4068 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3029 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2618 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bearish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices dropped. The Coca-Cola Co (NYSE:KO), Altria Group Inc (NYSE:MO), AT&T Inc (NYSE:T), Verizon Communications Inc (NYSE:VZ), INTEL CORPORATION (NASDAQ:INTC), Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below: Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction KO $-0.070 -0.19% 3,085,736 38.19% 2,251,893 27.87% 833,843 Abnormal MO $-0.050 -0.15% 4,318,269 46.89% 2,285,907 24.82% 2,032,362 Abnormal T $-0.010 -0.01% 6,872,658 33.19% 5,432,904 26.24% 1,439,754 Abnormal VZ $-0.400 -0.90% 4,195,483 37.87% 2,724,028 24.59% 1,471,455 Abnormal INTC $-0.090 -0.42% 14,943,040 56.05% 11,566,053 43.38% 3,376,987 Abnormal ZNGA $-0.130 -5.10% 8,241,594 57.75% 5,933,965 41.58% 2,307,629 Abnormal Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more buying than selling on Monday and their stock prices dropped. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows KO with 833,843 greater shares of buying than selling (NetVol) and the stock price was down $-0.07000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more buying than selling should cause prices to rise.
