BUYINS.NET: Market Maker Surveillance Report. CMCSA, DELL, AMAT, NXY, JCP, CSCO, Bullishly Biased Price Friction For Monday, December 10th 2012

(M2 PressWIRE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 4068 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3029 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2618 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. Comcast Corp (NASDAQ:CMCSA), Dell Inc (NASDAQ:DELL), APPLIED MATERIALS, INC. (NASDAQ:AMAT), Nexen Inc (NYSE:NXY), J C Penney Company Inc (NYSE:JCP), CISCO SYSTEMS INCORPORATED (NASDAQ:CSCO). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below: Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction CMCSA $0.220 0.59% 3,873,891 43.22% 5,055,172 56.40% -1,181,281 Abnormal DELL $0.180 1.67% 9,372,219 45.83% 11,025,947 53.92% -1,653,728 Abnormal AMAT $0.080 0.78% 3,747,432 41.55% 5,086,892 56.40% -1,339,460 Abnormal NXY $3.290 13.99% 23,041,283 29.87% 33,220,424 43.06% -10,179,141 Abnormal JCP $0.300 1.65% 2,482,460 22.47% 4,155,417 37.62% -1,672,957 Abnormal CSCO $0.480 2.46% 27,017,209 43.39% 34,412,530 55.27% -7,395,321 Abnormal Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Monday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows CMCSA with 1,181,281 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.22000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
