Jabra Advances to Preferred Solution Developer in Cisco Developer Network; Completes Interoperability Testing

NASHUA, N.H., Dec. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Jabra, a global leader in innovative, high-quality hands-free audio solutions, has announced that the Company has joined the Cisco Developer Network as a Preferred Solution Developer. In addition, Jabra has recently successfully completed interoperability testing* with the Jabra UC VOICE Series, Jabra PRO 900 Series, and Jabra SUPREME UC Bluetooth headset with Cisco CUCM, Cisco IP Phones, Cisco Soft clients, Cisco WebEx and other Cisco UC solutions. These Jabra devices help businesses deliver hands-free audio solutions with excellent acoustics and provide ergonomic comfort and increased productivity in Unified Communication, contact center and mobile work environments.

"Many years of close alignment with Cisco has enabled Jabra to achieve the Cisco Preferred Solution Developer rating in the Cisco Developer Network Program. This is a great achievement and indicates Jabra's high degree of commitment, investment and achievement with Cisco," explains Chris Briglin, Vice President of Strategic Alliances at Jabra. "This is also an acknowledgment of Jabra's ability to create quality audio endpoints which complement and enhance a variety of Cisco's Collaboration products. Jabra is dedicated to enhancing the user experience by developing unique audio devices that allow customers to appreciate the full collaborative value of Unified Communication, regardless of where they work or how they connect to the network." The Cisco Developer Network unites Cisco with third-party developers of hardware and software to deliver tested interoperable solutions to joint customers, harnessing the power and intelligence of the network. As a Preferred Solution Developer, Jabra has worked closely with Cisco to deliver enhanced solutions that deliver greater interoperability with Cisco networking solutions. Jabra also shares Cisco's strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction, has completed interoperability verification testing based on criteria set forth by Cisco, and can provide their customers 24 hour, 7 days a week customer support.

In June 2012 Jabra and analysis institute Frost & Sullivan conducted a study** to evaluate 302 companies' strategic use of Unified Communications, including decision making, benefits, challenges and expected return on investment by implementing UC technology. According to seven out of 10 decision makers; UC holds the power to simplify and streamline communications, transform corporate cultures and remake the way employees work and collaborate.

When asked about the UC peripherals supporting a successful adoption, more than six out of 10 respondents agreed that headsets play an important role in employee adoption of Unified Communications technologies. Respondents highlighted hands free communications (58%) and the improved audio quality (42%) as drivers towards an increased use of voice applications.

More information about Jabra headset compatible with Cisco UC can be found at: www.jabra.com/cisco or https://marketplace.cisco.com/catalog/companies/gn-netcom-2.

* Interoperability testing is designed to simulate typical customer configurations, and does not replace the need for on-site testing in conjunction with actual implementation.

** The survey was conducted by Jabra and Frost & Sullivan in June 2012; 302 business managers in Australia, France, Germany, Japan, United Kingdom and United States were surveyed. The complete survey results will be available on Jabra.com later this year.
