App offers guide to walks in Snowdonia [Northeast Region] [Daily Post (Liverpool, England)]
(Daily Post (Liverpool, England) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) NATIONAL park wardens in Snowdonia have prepared a series of walks suitable for families.
The Snowdonia National Park's website and smartphone app has details of the 14 routes.
Senior warden Dewi Davies said: The National Park is here to be enjoyed by people of all ages.
"But, often, because of the lack of information, young families are reluctant to venture out to enjoy the outdoors.
"The aim of this new section on our website is to provide as much information as possible to assist the family to make an informed decision before setting out - where to go, is the walk suitable for them and what facilities will be available at the beginning and at the end of the journey. The walks travel along varied landscapes and include the Great Falls at Abergwyngregyn, Gwelfor at Aberdyfi, the Mawddach trail between Dolgellau and Barmouth, Bryn y Castell walk and the Rhaeadr Cynfal walk near Ffestiniog.
With the exception of the Mawddach Trail, they are all under 3 miles long and take between one and three hours to complete.
