InfoBionic CEO Nancy Briefs to present at next week's 'OneMedForum' investor conference in San Francisco
LOWELL, Mass. --(Business Wire)--
InfoBionic, an emerging medical technology company that has
developed MoMe™-MonitorMe, a cloud-based SaaS (News - Alert) service that
empowers cardiologists to better detect and monitor cardiac events
such as arrhythmias-announced today that its President and CEO,
Nancy Briefs, will present the InfoBionic opportunity next Tuesday,
January 8th, at the sixth annual 'OneMedForum'
investor conference taking place at The Sir Francis Drake Hotel.
Ms. Briefs' presentation is scheduled for 11:20 a.m. PST.
InfoBionic intends is to play a leading role in the transformation of
healthcare delivery by providing anywhere-anytime-access to
cardiac event monitoring with higher quality and lower cost than is
currently available. InfoBionic's platform has broad applicability in mHealth
but the company selected arhythmia detection as its initial
business focus because it is one of the few mHealth opportunities with
reimbursement already in place, and it is ripe for process innovation.
MoMe™ has a clear regulatory path and the company expects to launch in
2013 in both US and EU.
"Because arrhythmias are transient events, real-time ambulatory
monitoring is a critical component to the diagnosis and treatment of a
patient's arrhythmia," said Nancy Briefs, CEO, InfoBionic.
"Unfortunately, current ambulatory cardiac monitoring (Holter, event and
MCT) relies on complex devices with antiquated technology or inefficient
and ineffective monitoring systems to capture and analyze patient data.
"MoMe™ is a superior universal solution for ambulatory cardiac
monitoring because we can do it faster, better and cheaper," added
Briefs, a serial entrepreneur responsible for developing and
commercializing innovative, paradigm-shifting technologies with five
prior medtech start-ups. "Unlike current mobile cardiac monitoring
offerings, MoMe™ keeps data in the hands of physicians."
The system uses proprietary algorithms to continually analyze data that
can then be accessed anytime by a physician using a standard internet
connection and a computer, mobile device or tablet.
Headquartered in Lowell, Mass., InfoBionic™ is a privately held,
emerging mHealth leader in using mobile and wireless devices to
improve health outcomes, healthcare services and health research. Its
initial, proprietary cloud-based SaaS service, MoMe™ (MonitorMe),
enables physicians to better detect and monitor cardiac arrhythmias.
