Relatively High Earnings Yield Detected in Shares of Cypress Sharpridge Investments in the Mortgage REITs Industry (CYS, CIM, NYMT, CMO, HTS)

Jan 27, 2013 (SmarTrend(R) News Watch via COMTEX) -- Below are the three companies in the Mortgage REITs industry with the highest earnings yields. Earnings yield is useful to compare the relative benefit of owning a stock vs. owning other yield assets such as bonds. If the earnings yield is higher, stocks may be considered undervalued.Cypress Sharpridge Investments ranks highest with a an earnings yield of 31.5%. Following is Chimera Investment with a an earnings yield of 17.6%. New York Mortgage Trust ranks third highest with a an earnings yield of 14.9%.


Capstead Mortgage follows with a an earnings yield of 13.3%, and Hatteras Financial rounds out the top five with a an earnings yield of 13.1%.
