BUYINS.NET: Market Maker Surveillance Report. HAS, CTRP, ABT, RIMM, ANTH, CICHY, Highest Net Sell Volume and Negative Price Friction For Friday, January 25th 2013

(M2 PressWIRE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 3826 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3013 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2400 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Friday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. Hasbro Inc (NASDAQ:HAS), Ctrip.Com International Ltd (NASDAQ:CTRP), ABBOTT LABORATORIES (NYSE:ABT), RESEARCH IN MOTION (NASDAQ:RIMM), Anthera Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ:ANTH), China Construction Bank Corp (OTC:CICHY). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below: Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction HAS $-1.350 -0.04% 3,051,274 41.69% 4,265,149 58.28% -1,213,875 -8,992 CTRP $-3.000 -0.13% 6,851,221 45.51% 8,015,246 53.24% -1,164,025 -3,880 ABT $-0.010 0.00% 4,692,463 29.66% 6,403,483 40.48% -1,711,020 -1,711,020 RIMM $-0.220 -0.01% 28,031,292 48.78% 29,398,636 51.16% -1,367,344 -62,152 ANTH $-0.080 -0.11% 7,118,353 46.39% 8,226,281 53.61% -1,107,928 -138,491 CICHY $-0.239 -0.01% 51,038 3.58% 1,357,653 95.35% -1,306,615 -54,579 Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows HAS down $-1.35000 with a Friction Factor of -8,992 and a Net Volume of -1,213,875. That means that it takes 8,992 more shares of selling than buying to drop HAS by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
