BRIEF: Woman robbed, bitten in Charlestown
Feb 20, 2013 (Boston Herald - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
A woman told police she was bitten on the left arm by one of two men in hoodies who, under the guise of bumming a cigarette off her yesterday afternoon in Charlestown, stole her wallet and cell phone.
"Just grab the cell phone!" the 27-year-old alleged victim said a short, thin man in a red hooded sweatshirt and baggy jeans yelled to an accomplice, who was also approximately 5-feet, 5-inches tall, thin and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, police said.
The incident occurred at Green and High streets shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said a witness in the immediate area attempted to grab the suspects, but they were able to flee on foot.
Officers noted what appeared to be a bite mark and scratches on the woman's left arm.
Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to call District A-1 detectives at 617-343-4248.
