BUYINS.NET: Market Maker Surveillance Report. CHK, SIRI, POM, KEY, CRBC, QQQ, Highest Net Sell Volume and Negative Price Friction For Friday, April 12th 2013

(M2 PressWIRE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 4035 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2018 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3135 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Friday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. Chesapeake Energy Corp (NYSE:CHK), Sirius XM Radio Inc (NASDAQ:SIRI), Polymet Mining Corp (NYSE:POM), KeyCorp (NYSE:KEY), Citizens Republic Bancorp Inc (NASDAQ:CRBC), Powershares Qqq Trust Series 1 (NASDAQ:QQQ). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below: Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction CHK $-0.460 -2.28% 2,483,433 24.59% 4,428,045 43.84% -1,944,612 -42,274 SIRI $-0.070 -2.38% 17,855,446 47.32% 19,855,595 52.62% -2,000,149 -285,736 POM $-0.030 -0.14% 997,751 18.42% 3,259,510 60.18% -2,261,759 -753,920 KEY $-0.190 -1.89% 3,689,560 25.73% 5,144,093 35.87% -1,454,533 -76,554 CRBC $-0.030 -0.13% 683,868 22.02% 2,200,859 70.86% -1,516,991 -505,664 QQQ $-0.080 -0.11% 15,110,379 46.83% 17,142,127 53.13% -2,031,748 -253,969 Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows CHK down $-0.46000 with a Friction Factor of -42,274 and a Net Volume of -1,944,612. That means that it takes 42,274 more shares of selling than buying to drop CHK by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
