GridSense(TM), an Acorn Energy Company, Announces Order From a Southeast Asian National Electric Utility in Excess of $1 Million

SACRAMENTO, Calif., July 25, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- GridSense(TM), an Acorn Energy (NASDAQ: ACFN) company that develops and markets advanced monitoring solutions for the electric power industry, announced today an order that is an initial success of its efforts to grow internationally and prove its leadership in distribution optimization. The order is for 700 units of GridSense's Distribution IQ and Line IQ and is enabled by Grid InSite(TM) software. It is valued at in excess of $1 million.

The order will be processed and shipped in the third quarter of 2013. The current order represents another conversion of a pilot to an initial commercial order involving 700 units. In the first quarter of 2013, GridSense finalized shipment of an order in excess of $750,000 for a western US utility. The Company currently has forty-six such pilots ongoing.
