Registration Opens for Amphion Forum Mobile Security Event in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO --(Business Wire)--

Mocana (News - Alert), the device security leader, announced that registration is now open for the next Amphion Forum event to be held December 12-13 in San Francisco, California. Attendees that register at before 5:00 p.m. PDT¬†on Monday, September 9 can use priority code "WRAP" and receive a free ticket to the event (regularly priced at $499). The event is hosted by Mocana and presented by SAP, Forrester Research and Codenomicon (News - Alert).

The Amphion Forum is an open, vendor-neutral and cross-industry gathering of industry leaders and technologists building the foundations of the new extended enterprise - those new organizations that transcend traditional boundaries by leveraging disruptive device security and mobile security technologies. The Forum brings together mobility companies with hackers and app security experts, as well as technology leaders from business, academia, and the public sector to discuss the opportunities-and sobering threats-presented by the proliferation of mobile devices and the Internet of Things.

The event, characterized by planners as "part TED and part Meetup" has grown from a single day to a two-day program, with expanded content and networking opportunities for the security, mobility and hacking 'digerati.' Talks will range from the deeply technical to the big-picture strategic, with topics such as: iOS 7 security; threats to critical infrastructure; Android (News - Alert) hacks; app-wrapping and mobile code injection; mobile device maagement (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM); secure containers; mobile hypervisors; and the future of app security automation.

Selected talks include:

  • Mobile Security Vision Keynotes from SAP (News - Alert), Forrester Research, Codenomicon and Mocana;
  • "Android Application Reverse Engineering and Defenses," by Felix Matenaar and Patrick Schulz, Bluebox;
  • "Mobile App Code Injection: the Next Generation," by Erik Peterson, Mocana;
  • "Abusing the Internet of Things: Blackouts, Freakouts, and Stakeouts," by independent researcher Nitesh Dhanjani; and
  • "Finding Undesirable Behaviors in Mobile Apps Using Dynamic Analysis," by Kevin Watkins of Appthority.
