Mocana Appoints James Isaacs Chief Executive Officer

SAN FRANCISCO --(Business Wire)--

Mocana, the application security leader, has named James Isaacs as chief executive officer. Formerly Mocana's chief operating officer, Isaacs replaces co-founder and CEO Adrian Turner (News - Alert) who will continue as a Mocana board member.

"On behalf of everyone at Mocana, I would like to express our thanks to Adrian for co-founding Mocana and leading it to a globally prominent position in securing smart devices and applications," said Alberto Yepéz, chairman of Mocana's board of directors and managing director of Trident (News - Alert) Capital. "During his tenure, Adrian significantly grew the company, its client base, and product offerings while guiding Mocana though a challenging economic environment, a transformative strategy shift, and a global partnership with SAP (News - Alert) to unlock the extended mobile enterprise. Thanks to Adrian and his leadership, Mocana is well positioned to capture the substantial mobile platform opportunity that lies ahead."

Isaacs joins Mocana with over 20 years experience in executive and senior management positions in marketing, sales, and field operations at technology companies, including Apple (News - Alert), Microsoft, 41st Parameter, Concentric Networks and Danger. During Isaac's tenure, Danger was purchased for $500 millon in cash, and Concentric (News - Alert) Networks (CNCX) went public on the NASDAQ and was later purchased in a $2.9 billion transaction.

"I am honored to take the helm of this fast-moving, innovative company," said Isaacs. "With the continued support of our customers, partners such as SAP, and our talented and very capable employees and executives, Mocana is poised to solidify its leadership position in the enterprise mobility market."

"Scaling Mocana requires a unique blend of skills and market insight that includes platform strategy, devices, security, the cloud, the enterprise, carriers and service providers. It is rare to find that combination of expertise in a single person, but Mocana has found it in James Isaacs," added Yepéz.

Mocana pioneered the application protection technology known as 'app wrapping.' The Mocana Mobile Application Protection™ (MAP™) solution accelerates wide-scale deployment of enterprise mobile apps by easily and reliably adding a security shield to any app in seconds, regardless of device platform, and without the need to write any code. With its data-centric model of security, Mocana MAP helps companies meet the challenges of the 'third era of enterprise mobility' by enabling enterprise IT to maintain security of sensitive data across a broad range of devices and apps.
