With VoIP continuing to dominate the communications space, there is one company who is bringing considerable value to the carrier space: Affinity VoIP Telecom. To get an idea of what this company has to offer, TMCnet recently sat down with Ed Preble, CEO, in a conversation that was captured in this video.
The company started out in hosted services and set together multitenant switches. In the process, had to develop a lot of relationships with providers and grew into one of the largest companies of its kind providing services for private label providers.
Affinity VoIP Telecom discovered in the process that the amount of work in the private label approach was a lot more, even though profits were strong. The company made the strategic decision to move to carrier services and sold off its private label business. Now, Affinity VoIP Telecom is becoming an early stage global leader of wholesale VoIP termination services.
The company has launched some new products, although Preble said that some they have had in some form or another, but improved them, revised them, etc. They are now considered superior products in terms of quality and price. “We wanted to provide products that would satisfy their needs,” said Preble.
Affinity VoIP Telecom offers three main products in termination: dialer traffic, domestic termination and international termination. Dialer termination services are one of the most successful solutions for the company.
What is unique about dialer termination? This is difficult for carriers as a long stream of calls come in within a short amount of time without minutes, which is what provides the carrier’s revenue. Affinity VoIP Telecom has developed an economic and technical model to send virtually unlimited dialer traffic without taxing the system or cutting into profits.
Affinity VoIP telecom will set up automatic dialer so carriers can get the quality and price point they need, eliminating the dialer traffic carriers are sending to service providers, which can instigate significant fees.
According to Preble, there was great reception for the company’s products at ITEXPO (News - Alert). The amount of dialer traffic that Affinity VoIP can take away from the carrier solves significant problems, putting them in great demand.
