Transaction Network Services (TNS (News - Alert)), a provider of data communications and interoperability solutions, announced that business communications service provider, Broadview Networks (News - Alert), observed improvement in Calling Name (CNAM) accuracy after signing with its CNAM service.

As a network-based business communications service provider, Broadview Networks provides local and long distance voice communications, premises-based and patented hosted VoIP systems, traditional telephone hardware, high-speed Internet services and a full suite of managed services.

Broadview, exhibiting in at ITEXPO (News - Alert) East, had to renew its service agreement for a CNAM supplier. It was in need of a solution that could improve the communications services it supplies to the corporate and small business market. In this regard, Broadview switched to TNS' CNAM service.

With the help of TNS' CNAM service, Broadview is able to help its customers log calls more effectively, thereby improving communications services.

According to TNS, its CNAM service provides communication service providers with the ability to deliver accurate caller ID information, for virtually all calls nationwide. This is possible, because the company hosts and accesses data sourced from the provisioning operator, which is the definitive source for accuracy.

TNS’ commitment to data integrity not only contributes to subscriber satisfaction, but also helps shield customers from unwanted call center activity, said officials with TNS in a press release.

According to a press release, Broadview has been utilizing TNS' SS7, 800 Toll Free, and CLASS services. TNS' CNAM service, which is being leveraged recently, delivers a highly accurate caller ID service that makes sure fewer calls are being routed into Broadview's customer care call centers because of unavailable or incorrect CNAM responses. This has enabled the company to deliver an overall improved service experience to its customers.

Dan Dooley, president and general manager of TNS' telecommunications services division, said in a statement, “We have achieved this reputation by ensuring continued investment and setting up market-wide reciprocal agreements to guarantee that authoritative telco data is delivered, meaning more accurate names are available for delivery to caller ID displays. This commitment to authoritative telco data also reduces the associated customer service issues that can result from unavailable or incorrect data responses.”

TNS operates SS7 network in North America and provides network, database and next generation services to more than 700 telecommunications companies across the globe.

In the recent news, Broadview Networks has won 2010 Internet Telephony (News - Alert) Excellence Award for its OfficeSuite USB phone. In addition, the company has implemented Packet Design’s (News - Alert) VPN Explorer to manage their IP network that provides business customers with Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Internet, Virtual Private Network (VPN) and Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS)-enabled data communications.
