Mirial, a provider of products for audio and video communication over convergent networks, announced that iPhone (News - Alert) 3GS and iPad have been added to the list of certified devices for Mirial ClearSea, a video conferencing software.
The recently launched ClearSea Client for iPhone and iPod touch 4th generation includes client for iOS devices to connect every PC, Mac, Android (News - Alert) or iOS device and any standards-based H.323/SIP equipment.
The software allows organizations to integrate traditional room based video communication systems or to deploy a new HD desktop and mobile solution without the need to invest in expensive infrastructure.
“We are pleased to add iPhone 3GS and iPad to the list of certified devices,” said Cristoforo Mione (News - Alert), vice president of marketing at Mirial, in a statement. “We understand the obvious limitations due to the absence of a front camera but we still want to enable the highest number of users to take advantage of personal video communication.”
The product portfolio of Mirial (News - Alert), a pioneer in software-only desktop video conferencing since 1999, includes a comprehensive set of products enabling hosted interactive audio/video services on IP networks and professional SD and HD desktop and mobile video conferencing.
Last month, Mirial announced the launch of its first professional video conferencing client for Apple (News - Alert) iOS devices, supporting both Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and H.323 standards, featuring high-quality video conference capability, optimized in order to get the most out of the mobile networks.
