Service providers intending to implement unified communications (News - Alert) (UC) and base their offerings on flexible UC service can now leverage 4PSA’s new, fully featured VoipNow Cloud Instance service.

The VoipNow Cloud Instance is a low-cost, flexible turn-key service featuring many advantages due to the tight integration between hardware and software resources. Its built-in technologies scale the cloud instance resources dynamically with the number of customers provisioned by the service provider.

Priced at $159 per month, the VoipNow Cloud Instance service combines high-performance infrastructure with the company's VoipNow Unified Communications (News - Alert) platform. It is provided with all the necessary tools to provide Unified Communications.

The VoipNow Platform is 4PSA’s suite of software applications. It is designed to accelerate the adoption of Unified Communications by businesses and end-users. Built around cloud computing, all the products of VoipNow suite feature massive scalability as well as automation.

Available both in the U.S. and Europe, the new VoipNow Cloud Instance service features support for up to 100 UC customers and each additional customer is charged with a maximum of $2.10 per month.

Backed up by a 99.95 percent up-time guarantee, the VoipNow Cloud Instance service can be is provisioned in a couple of minutes, said officials with4PSA in a press release.

With the deployment of VoipNow Cloud Instance service, service providers will have complete access to all system parameters, down to the low-level settings, because the instance is private and is not shared with any other entity.

According to a press release, customers can choose between two functionality levels, namely with its unified communications feature set and with VoipNow Automation. The Automation functionality streamlines provisioning, invoicing and other important business operations, thereby facilitating service providers to reduce costs.

Bogdan Carstoiu, CEO for 4PSA, said in a statement, "Our customers deploy VoipNow with many IaaS cloud services, Amazon EC2 being one of the most popular among them. At the same time, they can run VoipNow on their own hardware or on equipment leased from an infrastructure service provider. While all these options are widely used, we wanted to accelerate the process with a full solution that can be provisioned in minutes."

Carstoiu added, "Another major advantage of VoipNow Cloud Instance is the scaling path. A cloud instance can grow from 0 to 10,000 Unified Communications customers without any downtime, which is very important for service providers. They are in charge of their instance and can choose the voice carriers they prefer. Furthermore, they have full control over the system through a range of web-based management tools."

Recently, TMCnet had reported that 4PSA will start offering cloud licensing. The cloud licensing is a licensing methodology, which brings cloud computing’s flexibility and scalability to software licensing.
