In a bid to offer its customers, more cost-effective telecommunication solutions, Jersy based advanced telephony services and carrier-grade SIP trunks provider Tpad (News - Alert) forged a strategic partnership with UK-based Internet service provider Supanet.

Tpad customers using PBX (News - Alert) Tpad telephone systems will benefit from the partnership, as the partnership will allow Tpad to provide Supanet’s business grade connectivity to its customers.

A specialist in VoIP telephone services, Tpad caters to large and small enterprises worldwide with its advanced communications model. Tpad offers its packaged PBX services that are efficient, upgradable and compatible with digital or IP lines. Its range of advanced business telephony services also include virtual numbers, SIP trunks, and number porting.

The alliance between Tpad and Supanet exemplifies the integration of two vital and inter-related services and according to the industry experts, this type of alliances are highly required in the industries, where top of the line internal and external communication are vital to the company’s success. Traditionally, companies had to maintain separate infrastructures for data and voice resulting into double expenditure for hardware involving data, and a different set for voice.

The collaboration between Tpad and Supanet will allow the clients to maintain a single converge and shared infrastructure for both telephone services and data networks. This will allow companies use their data network to access the telephone system. This ultimately is likely to bring bigger saving and increased efficiency for the companies.

The partnership will also make the SIP trunking service even more cost effective for the Tpad customers. This service offered by Tpad (and now by Supanet as well) allows PBX systems access to Voice-over-IP (VoIP) outside the enterprise network through Internet connectivity. The service will help the company save a lot of money by eliminating the need for expensive multiple ISDN lines.

According to Tpad CEO Tahir Mohsan, “Tpad is committed to providing quality services that aptly meets the needs of the times. We continue to seek towards addressing the needs of our clients and the businesses we cater to, which is why this partnership became possible. We are looking forward to even more innovative solutions in the near future.”

Last month Tpad announced that it has joined forces with Nokia (News - Alert) to launch Mobile VoIP Calls on Nokia S40 Mobiles. In a press release, the company revealed that the move is intended to vigorously compete with other VoIP telephony companies such as Skype, Vonage, Gizmo5 (News - Alert) and Google Voice by giving non-technical users the chance to benefit from the free internet call revolution.
