FriendCaller (News - Alert), operated by C2Call GmbH, based in Germany, announced the latest version of the FriendCaller Android app for free download. As part of the update, the company offered numerous improvements in the user interface, and made several optimizations in various functions.FriendCaller.com is operated by C2Call, a provider of the next-gen browser-based VoIP solutions for the computing cloud.

An easy-to-use, browser based VoIP solution, FriendCaller.com allows users to make free calls from the WebPhone to anyone on the Internet, with no software installation for the caller or the person being called. There is no need for the invited call participant to register with FriendCaller, company officials said.

There are many other flexible options to users. The peer-to-peer calls work with any browser on Windows, OS X and Linux, and is also available for Android, iPhone (News - Alert), iPod touch, iPad, Nokia Series 40 SIP Phones, as a Facebook App and for SIP capable clients. This application works with all Android phones and tablets, which have installed at least Android (News - Alert) 1.6 and can be downloaded directly from the Google Android market.Android VoIP app also has the Offer Wall feature to earn free calling credit. In the re-invented contact list, contacts and friends are merged in to a single list. Its customers can see the Facebook (News - Alert) pictures of their contacts, if they are already connected FriendCaller with Facebook.

The company has implemented its speed dial functionality. There are three new sorting options for a better overview, depending on the personal desire, according to company officials.

In September 2010, FriendCaller announced that the company is adding over 15,000 new users every day. In past three months, it’s added a million new subscribers for a total of 1.4 million to date. So far, these customers are making about 250,000 calls a day.
