Germany-based C2Call (News - Alert) GmbH has announced the latest version of the FriendCaller.com Android app for free download. The update offers numerous improvements to the user interface, plus several optimizations in various functions.
FriendCaller (News - Alert) is an easy-to-use, browser-based VoIP solution, allowing users to make free calls from the WebPhone to anyone on the Internet, with no software installation required for the caller or the person being called. In fact, there is no need for the invited call participant to register with FriendCaller.
Users can take advantage of many flexible options. The peer-to-peer calls work with any browser on Windows, OS X and Linux, and is also available for Android, iPhone (News - Alert), iPod touch, iPad, Nokia Series 40 SIP Phones, as a Facebook App and for SIP capable clients. The application works with all Android phones and tablets which have at least Android 1.6 installed and can be downloaded directly from the Google (News - Alert) Android market.
The Android VoIP app also has the Offer Wall feature to earn free calling credit. In the revamped contact list, contacts and friends are merged in to a single list. Users can see the Facebook (News - Alert) pictures of their contacts, if they are already connected FriendCaller with Facebook.
In addition, a speed dial functionality was implemented and there are three new sorting options; for a better overview, depending on the personal preference.
